United We Lunch
United We Lunch is a community-driven fundraising event dedicated to ensuring every child has access to a nutritious lunch at school. By coming together for a shared cause, we’re raising funds to support local school lunch programs and help fight food insecurity among students. Join us in making a difference because no child should have to learn on an empty stomach.
As part of the initiative, we’re hosting a special PD Day event. A fun, engaging 2-hour drop-in event where parents can come with their children to enjoy games, activities, and hands-on learning about healthy nutrition. Kids will explore the importance of balanced meals and why we should never food shame others, all while making friends and having fun. It’s a day designed to inspire kindness, confidence, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Event Breakdown
Parents and kids are invited to a two-hour drop-in event at the QYC Fun Factory, where children ages 4–10 can join for just $25 (parents are free!). During this interactive experience, families will have over two hours to explore a variety of engaging stations designed to educate, inspire, and empower.
Each station highlights a different aspect of healthy eating and food literacy, from hands-on nutrition games to conversations with local experts. Reimagined to be more than just a day of fun, this event offers families a meaningful opportunity to learn practical skills, connect with their community, and discover how small, everyday food choices can make a big difference.
As families make their way through the event, they’ll receive a fun, food-themed sticker at each sponsored activity station they complete. Once all five stickers have been collected, participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a special, event-branded prize pack. This interactive reward system not only adds an element of fun and motivation but also encourages families to fully engage with each hands-on learning opportunity throughout the event.
